EASTERN PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICE

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Handling and monitoring receipt of all incoming goods, inspection, storage, issue and stock verification.
  • Managing stores operations ensuring optimum inventory levels.
  • Conduct routine stock count.
  • Responsible for allocation/transfer of stocks, conducting routine inspection to ensure reconciliation of physical stock.
  • Evaluation of safety stock limits and inventory order levels and balanced stock levels conforming to the demand from the user departments.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of available resources
  • Responsible for stock control and manage stock movement and ensure inventory is properly maintained and kept at an optimal level.
  • Implementation of effective standards and proper inventory systems.
  • Monitoring and improving the efficiency of stock management.
  • Generating non-moving stock statement & distribution to all Departments.
  • Ensure that stock is checked, labelled and stored in the designated storage area.
  • Ensure good housekeeping & safety.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

  • Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
  • Advanced CIPS Diploma or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
  • At least Three (3) years relevant job experience.
  • Must be a Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
  • Computer literate, with competency in using Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good proficiency in oral and written English as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have a high level of confidentiality and Integrity.
  • Trustworthy and Honest
  • Must be a team player
