Our mission is to Unite and Empower the next generation of African Leaders through mindset transformation. We currently operate in Zambia, and looking to expand our presence and operations in other regions across Africa.

The Role: Programmes Lead

Are you a strategic thinker with a heart for impact? Thrive Africa Network is seeking a passionate and experienced Programmes Lead to join our core team in a voluntary capacity. You’ll play a key leadership role in the design, implementation, and monitoring of high-impact programmes that reach communities across Africa. Please note that there is no remuneration for this role. It is purely voluntary and we expect only about 10 hours/week worth of effort.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, plan, and manage programmes in alignment with Thrive Africa’s mission
Lead implementation across various African regions, adapting to local contexts
Collaborate with local and international partners to deliver impactful initiatives
Monitor & evaluate programme outcomes and drive continuous improvement
Support strategic fundraising and resource mobilization efforts
Provide leadership to volunteers and project teams
Contribute to thought leadership and innovation in programme delivery

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in programme management in a nonprofit or development context
Strong background in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource mobilization
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
A deep passion for Africa’s development and grassroots transformation
Ability to work independently and commit to approx. 10 hours per week
Based in Africa or deeply connected to the continent’s development space
