Our client in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a reliable and skilled Solar Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of electrical systems.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical control systems for various projects.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for installations of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Oversee the installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Test and inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Perform detailed calculations and simulations to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A valid membership with Engineering Institution of Zambia.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector will be added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
