A position of Transport Manager has become available within Bollore Logistics.

The role will involve the Transport Manager to oversee all transport business development activities at Country level in conjunction with the Head of Middle Office Operations Zambia.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

  • Coordinates the Road Transport service at Country level. Responsible for the implementation of the Road Transport policy of the Group
  • Responsible for developing the company’s transport business, increasing volumes and profitability in line with country and Global directives
  • Improving staff performance through effective communication, support and guidance
  • Manage assigned budgets and take corrective action, when appropriate, in coordination with HMO
  • Structure, focus and develop transport solutions in line with Country entity’s objectives and performance plan
  • Handle other duties that may be assigned by the company from time to time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Qualification Advanced Diploma or Degree in Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport/Business Administration
  • At least 7 Years of work experience in the Transport Industry preferably with a Transport Company
  • Must be fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Must be able to work independently, be self-assured as well as have a diplomatic personality.
  • Member of ZICA or CILT
