Responsibilities

1. Needs Assessment

a. Assess training for individual departments
b. Develop programs to meet those needs for individual departments
c. Arrange for the completion of skills audits and skills planning by programme, unit and
line managers for their respective staff members.

2. Training design

a. Design programs using techniques such as classroom learning, demonstration,
one-on-one coaching, or online learning.
b. Schedule training sessions to minimize disruption to normal working hours
c. Manage and implement plan, schedule, book and record training
interventions.
d. Design and incorporate post training assessments.
e. Ensuring employees achieve the levels of skill necessary for their jobs.

3. Training delivery

a. Must have comprehensive knowledge of topic they are discussing
b. Must be able to demonstrate skill themselves
c. Ensure in service training and mentoring is progressing in line with approved skills
plans, and is correctly documented and recorded

4. Administration

a. Evaluate outcome of training sessions and maintain records of trainee’s progress and
achievements
b. Monitor training cost against budget

5. Minimum requirements

a. Teaching degree
b. HR Diploma (Optional)
c. Registered Skills Development Facilitator (Advantage)
d. Facilitator experience (Advantage)
e. Fluent in many local languages (would be an advantage
