REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Functionally reports to: Head of Foreign Operations
Administratively reports to: Head of Foreign Operations
Supervises: Nil

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure full compliance with policy in transaction processing
  • Identify and propose international best practices for our domestic and foreign operations
  • Ensure that all third party payments are processed within 24 hours
  • Ensure that all expense payments are processed in compliance with policy
  • To process Letters of Credit correctly and in line with market practice and rules and bank policies.
  • To process Bonds and Guarantees in accordance with the Trade Finance rules and bank policies.
  • Ensure all Documentary collections are handled in line with policy and governing rules.
  • Ensure an “A” rating in Audit (External and Internal)
  • Ensure all cash advance loans are booked and disbursed in line with credit policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Head of Foreign Operations

  • Macro: one year; Micro: One week

Knowledge

  • Banking Operations & Control Policie
  • Treasury Products and dynamics
  • Industry Knowledge and impact on assigned responsibilities
  • Financial Regulations related to assigned duties
  • BOZ Circulars related to assigned duties
  • Technical competence on operating platform (Finacle, etc).

Application requirements:

Grade 12 certificate with 5 Credits or better inclusive English and Mathematics
A good first degree with credit or better in a relevant discipline

2 years experience in banking operations

ACI Operations Certificate
