The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports and oversee day-to-day business processes and financial controls of Vital Beverages.
This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and Managing Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate capturing, recording and reporting of financial data through accrual based accounting using Sage Evolution.
- Support the timely development, review, approval, and submission of correct and concise financial reports to Management with Month & Year End Reports.
- Analyse and report gaps between planned budgets and actual expenses on a monthly basis,
- Ensure that Debtors, Creditors and General Ledger Accounts to trial balance are reconciled besides Budgets, WIP and Stock Management with Project proposals.
- Assess monthly cash-flow needs, prepare cash forecasts, and submit timely reports on Cash Management.
- Support the creation and maintenance a robust Document Controls which enables real time access to financial information and on time financial reporting,
- Preparing and analysing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts
- Manage a team of junior accountants
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Diploma
- Professional Qualification and membership of an internationally recognized Institute like CA, ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, CIS or equivalent,
- Member of ZICA,
- A minimum of 3 years working experience more at Senior Management.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and written,
- High organizational skills and ability to work under extreme pressure and multitasking
- Sage evolution knowledge of at least 2 years
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
