SHORT TERM CONSUTANCY SERVICES -DEVELOPMENT AND FORMALISATION OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES -MUMBWA.

Wachi Milling Ltd (WML) an Agro Processing Company based in Mumbwa District of Central Province. Wachi Milling Zambia Ltd is specialised in Cooking Oil Processing, Milling Service Provision, Outgrowing, Aggregation and Agro Dealers. In its quest to improve its business operations and management capacity, WML intends to hire the services of a Financial Management Consultant to support in the development and formalization of financial management policies and procedures. The services sought are envisaged to enhance the capacity of company management and the board to efficiently and effectively operate the business. This will include development and operationalization systems and controls and production of sound financial report.
Based on this background, WML invites suitably qualified individuals and Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants registered Non-Auditing Firms to submit their proposals for undertaking a review of the current Financial and Accounting procedures and develop a Financial Policy and Procedures Manual tailored to the company’s business in line with the current existing practices and standards.

Key deliverables of the Consultant are outlined below:

  • Develop systems that will ensure that board members are well informed of the operations of the company.
  • Development of policies that should provide for processes and systems related to the cooking oil processing.
  • Provide guidance on the systems for receipt of sunflower from the field, production issues, actual processing of the cooking oil, issues from production to the sales office, and provide guidance at every stage for documents that must be kept by the company.
  • Documenting procedures and policies into an operational manual.
  • Training board of directors and management in the use of the developed operational manual.
  • Provide guidelines for financial reporting, remittance of statutory obligations and segregation of duties.

Duration:

The consultancy service is expected to take a duration not exceeding 21 working days.

Qualifications

The ideal consultant will have:

  • Bachelor of Accountancy with minimum of five (05) years professional work experience in a reputable organization with traceable references.
  • Full ACCA/CIMA with minimum three (03) years of work experience in a reputable organization with traceable references.
  • Valid ZICA practicing license as a fellow member
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
