Assistant Quality Clerk

ASSISTANT QUALITY CLERK

Yalelo is seeking a highly analytical, meticulous and hands-on Assistant Quality Clerk with extensive experience in food industry. The Assistant Quality Clerk will be working under the Quality team.

Location: The role will be primarily based in Lusaka.

The Right-Fit candidate will:

• Perform fish quality checks.
• Must be computer literate
• Inspecting the cleaning process.
• Record the temperatures of the cold rooms
• Update daily shift performance reports.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of Yalelo objectives.

The Candidate should have:

• At least a Diploma in food related course or other relevant qualification
• Industry Experience:  ​At least Two (2) years work experience, preferably in aquaculture/ offshore industry.
• Knowledge in Food Safety Management/HACCP will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of aquaculture.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team-based environment.
• Ability to work a schedule outside business hours and/or flexible shifts.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work in a team.
• Be detail-oriented and meticulous.

• Judgment​: Demonstrate professional judgment, relate all information and data to management.  100% accuracy expected and must be prepared to discuss any issues that deviate from normal laboratory procedures.
• Flexibility:  ​Adapts to changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities.
