Yalelo is looking for a dedicated and focused Commercial GTEG Project Lead to undertake a variety of projects to ensure that products and services conform to global trading export grade specifications for customer and supplier quality/technical agreements (Q/TA.) This position operates within the scope of HACCP-OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000, EU Guidance on Good Practice and FDA Good Manufacturing Practice

Responsibilities

  • Develops project and quality plans for new product introduction
  • Manages Customer and Supplier Q/TA and ensures such agreements exists for all Customers and Critical Suppliers and address company’s critical-to-quality needs.
  • Leads the implementation of change to operational procedures to assure compliance to Customer Quality Agreements. – Partners with key stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Corporate Quality, IT, Finance, Supply Chain and Production) to design and implement new processes, products/services, and technologies as required by Customers or Suppliers.
  • Coordinates and hosts periodic Quality Reviews with active Customers and Critical Suppliers. Reviews should cover nonconformances related to products, services, or operational delivery; changes and compliance to Q/TA complaints and related investigations or CAPA for the review period and any introduction of new process changes or product/service/technology changes
  • Partners with other Operational Excellence resources to execute the design, development, and delivery of change management activities and process improvement initiatives, including Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) and related Change Control Review
  • Responsible for all Customer and Supplier-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Ensures SOPs and related documentation and training programs are compliant with HACCP, OHSAS18001, ISO22000, SANS1330
  • Other job-related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Over 12 years working experience in FMCG, specialising in frozen fish supply chain management
  • French speaker, familiar with export-grade packaging and labelling standards for francophone markets
  • BComm Supply Chain (preferred)
  • Knowledge of HACCP, FDA, GMPs and EU regulations as related to export-grade fish processing and trading
  • Project management skills with extensive experience with cold storage environments
  • Strong computing skills with experience with automated temperature control systems, warehousing and integrated production/supply ERP
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Critical thinking with high attention to detail
  • Result oriented
  • Able to operate manual vehicles and willing to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally when required
