Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region.  It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stockfeed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT–MPONGWE FEEDMILL (X1)

The required skills for the role include:

  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to track production costs.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate recording of stock movements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights on operational performance, supporting decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of operational budgets and forecasts.
  • Generate operational financial reports, including performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to streamlined financial processes.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls related to operational finance activities.
  • Implementing approved price adjustments in Abaserve

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade 12 School certificate with 5 credits or better including Mathematics and English.
  • Full CIMA, ACCA, ZICA, Degree in Accounting.
  • Member of ZICA.
  • More than 5 years’ work experience.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT– ZAMHATCH MPONGWE (X1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Capex tracking for Finance manager’s review
  • Reconciling overheads for Finance manager’s review
  • Posting of credit notes – Sales
  • Liaising with the Tax team when need be
  • Posting of GRV reversals (Return to supplier).
  • Monitoring the Zamhatch cash control account
  • Overseeing payables and receivables recons
  • Liaising with Accounting on all Entry queries
  • Liaising with Managerial Staff
  • Month-end and year-end close process
  • Accruals
  • Implementing approved price adjustments in Abaserve

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade 12 School certificate with 5 credits or better including Mathematics and English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Economics
  • ZICA, ACCA/CIMA Diploma in Accountancy
  • Member of ZICA
  • More than 3 years’ work experience
