SCALES TECHNICIAN – HUNTLEY FARM (1)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Installing, configuring, servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, & doing preventive maintenance and calibration of scales for Zambeef Processing, Zammilk, Zamflour, Zamchick, Kalundu Diary & those in all feedlots under Huntley Farm.
- Servicing, maintenance, and calibration of all Weighbridges under Huntley farm.
- Following prescribed procedures for installations, servicing, purchasing and compliance with industry/vendor regulations of weights and measurements, etc.
- Printer repairs and service, installation, and maintenance.
- Installing, troubleshooting and ensuring that Abaserve runs smoothly and communicating with given scales and able to do label printing.
- Repairing, servicing, and maintaining computers and IP phones.
- Submitting all paperwork in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a close professional relationship with external and internal clients, technicians, and other leaders.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Installing network cables and troubleshooting.
- Preparing regular operation reports and reporting to the supervisor and ensuring logging of tickets on SharePoint.
- Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor(s).
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits.
- Certificate/Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation.
- Holder of a Practicing License from Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA).
- Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in scales/weighbridges installations, repair or management.
