HATCHERY DISPATCH MANAGER – ZAMHATCH (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

• Obtaining a breakdown of the day’s dispatch order and reconcile the number of crates packed to the final number of chicks as counted by the E-cat counter.
• Arranging the staff in the loading bay to pack the chicks into boxes.
• Responsible for overseeing the recounting of chicks dispatched to the out growers.
• Responsible for doing spot checks of at least 10 crates or boxes per truck/region dispatched and to revert back to the Hatchery Manager to any discrepancies found.
• Responsible for liaising with logistics for transporting the chicks to the various destinations.
• Responsible for liaising with logistics for transporting the chicks to the various destinations.
• Responsible for verifying the order loaded for each truck in the presence of the applicable driver’s and a representative from security, the boxes have to be counted, recorded on the loading sequence and checked against the delivery note and invoice, all 3 parties to sign off on the loading sequence.
• Responsible for starting and placing the temperature recording devices in each vehicle’s loading bay as well as the downloading, checking and taking action on any deviations in the transporting temperature.
• Overseeing the off-loading of the trucks on return to ensure all the chicks have been off loaded and the trollies being offloaded with care without damage to the wheels.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Full grade 12 school certificate.
• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in distribution/ logistics Management or in a similar industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the poultry production management chain or similar industry.
• Computer literate

• Very good communication skills
