DEBTORS ACCOUNTANT – NOVATEK LUSAKA (x1)
The Required Skills for the role include:
- Ensuring all deposits have been captured and posted in the accounting system.
- Ensuring all Credit Notes are passed and are duly supported and signed off by the Finance Manager.
- Ensuring that the payments clerk has captured all the payments in the cashbooks.
- Ensuring system access and training to all staff entering debtors and bank data.
- Preparation of the monthly bank reconciliation in the accounting system. Ensuring this is printed, signed off, and filled with supporting documents on all unreconciled items.
- Sending customer statements regularly and ensuring any differences are resolved and the age analysis reflects correct balances at each month’s end.
- Sending regular external customer confirmations and ensuring that these are returned and filed.
- Reporting any debtor accounts outside account terms immediately to the Finance Manager.
- Reporting any bank errors and ensuring these are resolved in good time.
- Ensuring all records are kept and documents are neatly filed at all times.
- Ensuring all customers’ master files are complete and up-to-date and information on Pastel agrees with master files.
- Ensuring that all intercompany accounts are in balance every month.
- Ensuring correct sales transactions on volumes and pricing.
- Carrying out regular cash count spot checks on both Petty cash and Cashier office.
The Required Qualifications are:
- A full Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Accounting or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ZICA Qualification.
- 3 years of work experience in the accounts department of a manufacturing or retailing entity.
- Must be a Member of ZICA
The Skills and Competencies Required for this Role Include:
- Ability to prepare high-quality Adhoc reports in respect of the organisations’ debtors and cashflows.
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and any accounting system.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective Communication abilities for interacting with clients and suppliers.
- Ability to manage with high demand work pressure.
- Able to work independently with minimal or no supervision
- Excellent organization, attentive to detail, and ability to appropriately prioritize competing tasks
- Strong interpersonal and critical integrity skills
TRUCK DRIVERS – ZAMHATCH (2)
The Required Skills for this Role include:
- Planning and managing deliveries of Day-old chicks and ensuring all paperwork is done correctly by the Hatchery Manager / Supervisor before starting the trip.
- Ensuring and verifying boxes of chicks before loading into the truck.
- Ensuring that chicks are delivered correctly to the customer and also to ensure the customer signs on the invoice as proof of delivery.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is clean both interior and exterior.
- No illegal stoppage. Any stoppage should be immediately communicated to your supervisor / Manager, permission will be granted for very justifiable circumstances.
- Maintaining records of Routes and times in accordance with state and federal law, as well as company policy.
- Relaying customer feedback, including concerns, complaints, damaged deliveries, returns, and competitive knowledge whenever it is presented.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is always refueled upon arrival from the deliveries.
- Ensuring that you do your Vehicle handover to the supervisor or Manager when arrival from the trip
- It is the driver’s duty to make sure that the vehicle is clean both interior and exterior.
- Ensuring that the rear doors are locked with padlocks before leaving the loading bay
- Ensuring that trucks are inspected, if any defect the truck has to be repaired for a safe operation.
- It is the driver’s duty to assist with loading and unloading of chicks.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Grade 9 or 12 Certificate with at least five O levels
- Valid Driver’s License C PSV or CE PSV
- Defensive Driving
- Mechanical knowledge/Auto Electrical should be an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
DIESEL MECHANIC – ZAMHATCH (1)
The Required Skills for this Role include:
- Carrying out service and repairs on all heavy goods vehicles.
- Carrying out Standard Operating Procedures as required.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out to health and safety standards.
- Performing routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, etc.
- Assembling Mechanical components according to specifications.
- Examining machines and overseeing diagnostic tests to determine functionality.
- Maintaining vehicle functional condition by listening to Operator complaints.
- Repairing engine failures.
- Carrying out services and repairs within time specifications.
- Maintaining a clean work environment.
- Completing job reports and processing paperwork.
- Repairing or replacing parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Rebuilding parts such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks
- Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent with at least 5 credits.
- Must have a minimum Qualification of a Craft Certificate in Automotive Mechanics.
- Must be Computer Literate.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience working as Automotive Mechanics
The Required Attributes Include:
- Able to make decisions
- Knowledge of mechanical.
- Problem solving skills.
- Must have analytical skills.
- Able to communicate clearly.
- Experience working with DAF trucks.
ELECTRICIAN – ZAMHATCH (1)
The Required Skills for this Role include:
- Carrying out all electrical maintenance works on farms at rearing, laying, and hatchery
- Carrying out all electrical construction works on farms at rearing, laying, and hatchery
- Carrying out all daily checklists and reporting to the immediate supervisor if there are any electrical faults in the operations of the machines being checked.
- Making sure that all safety and health procedures are followed at all times
- Keeping a healthy and safe environment by observing housekeeping and doing preventive maintenance carried out once every month.
- Responding to reported electrical faults immediately, more especially those that are associated with water and feeding of chickens.
- Responsible for safe safekeeping of all tools and equipment allocated to you.
- Reporting to the immediate supervisor for all the needed spares so that they can be raised for the work to be done.
- Performing general electrical maintenance
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits
- Must have a minimum Qualification of a Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of work experience working as an Electrician or equivalent.
- Must be computer literate
- Must be paid up and registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
The Required Attributes Include:
- Must be able to design and write electrical circuits on paper
- Good knowledge of various testing equipment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Good knowledge of dealing with all electrical situations and problems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
ENVIRONMENTAL HEATHY & SAFETY OFFICER – ZAMHATCH (1)
The Required Skills for this Role include:
- Ensuring Zamhatch Management, employees, and contractors comply with the health and safety legislation and regulations as set by the laws of the Republic of Zambia.
- Promoting safe working conditions around places of work in the farm and provide advisory and inspection services on all aspects of the company including accident prevention programs.
- Ensuring all works at the construction sites are done safely and in compliance with the domestic or national laws.
- Training personnel in safe work procedures and standards.
- Conducting Safety, Health, and Environment inductions to employees, Contractors, and Visitors.
- Ensuring risk assessments are done on all dangerous and non-routine jobs so that they are done safely.
- Supervising subordinates and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations of all work areas.
- Monitoring and managing Zamhatch Safety Management System regarding ISO 22000:2018, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015.
- Developing and Implementing Zamhatch Health and safety policy, programs, and procedures.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits
- Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Diploma/Degree or its equivalent
- Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or its equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience managing Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental programs
- Must be a Member of HPCZ
The Required Attributes Include:
