Elevating Monitoring and Evaluation Standards in Zambia

ZaMEA is looking for a vibrant, creative, and competent member who is ready to support the ZaMEA board in implementing exciting activities for members. This is a temporal position for two months with a possibility of extension based on performance and the availability of funds.

The successful candidate will be based in Lusaka, work three times a week and be responsible for managing the secretariat, coordinating members, and ZaMEA partners with support from the board members.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide efficient support to ZaMEA members and the board in implementing the annual work plan.
  • Manage all communications for the association.
  • Coordinate the work of the Board and the Technical Working Groups.
  • Prepare monthly program and financial reports.
  • Facilitate the processing of membership applications and maintain an accurate up-to-date membership database.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to the board, including taking minutes during meetings.
  • Attend to any duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • The minimum qualification required is a diploma in Business Administration, Demography, Development Studies, Public Administration, Office Management, or any related social science.
  • Proficient in writing reports and proposals.
  • Initiative-taking and independent.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and perform to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including excellent word processing skills and experience with MS Word and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Good interpersonal, teamwork, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to exhibit a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times, given the high level of interaction with partners and clients.
