ZAMBIA RED CROSS SOCIETY
The Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) is a Humanitarian Organization established in 1966 by an Act of Parliament CAP 307 of the laws of Zambia as an auxiliary institution that augments government efforts in humanitarian assistance. ZRCS is part of the International Red Cross movement known as International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Zambia Red Cross Society (ZCRS) will be implementing the ECHO Pilot Programmatic Partnership project for a period of 1 year, the project aims at supplementing government efforts in Disaster Preparedness, Risk Reduction and Response. The project is funded by the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid (ECHO), and will cover the following districts; Mazabuka, Choma, Namwala and Choma.
In order to strengthen coordination and management ZRCS hereby invites applications from dynamic, qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of a DRIVER
POSITION: DRIVER
REPORTING TO: LOGISTICS OFFICER
WORKPLACE: TO BASED IN MONZE- ZRCS OFFICE
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FIXED TERM CONTRACT OF 1 YEAR
EXPECTED DATE OF DEPLOYMENT: JUNE 2023
JOB SUMMARY
The Driver shall report to the Logistics Officer and is expected to drive the project vehicle to project locations as required, run general upkeep of the project vehicle and equipment; Keep the project vehicle clean; He/She shall fill out and check the log sheets and mileage of the vehicle and ensure any mechanical problems are reported accordingly. He/She shall inform the Logistics Officer about necessary vehicle service and shall provide support for basic administration management, such as procurement and purchases. He/She shall act as a back up for the Receptionist during lunch hours and as needed by answering to the phone calls and taking care of visitor registration
REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years experience in NGO setup with verifiable references; Good communication skills; Clean class C Valid Drivers license with at least 5 years driving experience, and existing ability to drive 4×4 vehicles with manual gear, Mechanical experience.
