1)    POSITION:  HANDYMAN PAINTER x 1- PERMANENT

The position will be reporting to the Building Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • To make sure that there is no wastage of materials.
  • Ensuring that work orders are closed / done in accordance with requirements (in terms of quality, usage and specifications) and that, materials are available for the job.
  • Giving technical and professional advice on work requirements to ensure conformity to accepted standards for work requests.
  • Providing feedback to the Building Supervisor on material-usage and works completed.
  • Help generate acceptable quality of civil maintenance works and infrastructure development.
  • To diligently execute painting works as assigned by the building supervisor to residential and social infrastructures such as (schools, hospitals/clinics, social clubs, office buildings, etc.)
  • Ensuring all stakeholders in the business that require the services of painting and sign-writing works are effectively and satisfactorily attended to.
  • To provide Painting and Signwriting works and ensuring adherence to work specifications, standard and safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements areas

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • G5 Trade Test Certificate or better.
  • At least 3 years in Painting and Signwriting.
  • Experience in painting and signwriting works with notable references.
  • Paid up membership of the engineering Institute of Zambia.
  • Knowledge Of relevant Zambian Engineering standards.
