1) POSITION: TRACTOR DRIVER x 1- PERMANENT
The position will be reporting to the Building Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe transportation of all building related materials and tools to and from construction sites as well as ensuring adherence to work standards and safe working environment.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- To ensure that there is loading and offloading of materials.
- To avoid damage of materials when loading and offloading.
- To help create and maintain acceptable quality of civil maintenance material delivery/transportation services.
- To ensure safe delivery/transportation of materials to residentials areas and social infrastructures such as (schools, hospitals/clinics, social clubs, office buildings, etc.)
- Ensuring all stakeholders in the business that require the services of a Tractor Driver are effectively and satisfactorily attended to.
- To see to it that goods are delivered safely and in good time according to stakeholder requirements.
- Ensuring that machinery is taken care of by means of frequent checks (checklist.)
- To ensure that the tractor (including the trailer) is taken to transport workshop whenever services is due whenever a defect is noticed on the machinery.
- To provide timely feedback to the supervisor at all time after every assignment.
- To ensure effective communication for efficiency.
- To give suggestions on better ways of executing tasks to the supervisor and the team.
- Ability to easily adjust to new/change in assignment and extra or unprecedented working schedule.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements areas
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Valid class – T Driver’s License or better
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a tractor with trailer.
- Knowledge of relevant Zambian Driving rules and standards
- Driving skills of different Tractor models
- Knowledge of Estate Maintenance operations will be advantageous.
