Scope of work:

1. Maintain accurate and complete accounting records

2. Raise payment vouchers

3. Receive imprest/advance retirements

4. Issue receipts and other accounting documents

5. Assist with preparation of financial reports

6. Secure and systematically file soft and hard copy documents for easy retrieval

7. Enter accounting information into the accounting system

8. Raise invoices

9. Prepare bank reconciliations

10. Reconcile staff imprest accounts

11. Provide any other support as may be required by the Finance Team

12. Help with preparation of financial statements

13. Help with preparation of monthly and quarterly donor reports

Education and training:

Minimum of ZICA Licentiate or equivalent and a member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountant (ZICA)

Decision-making:

· Planning for work in the area usually within clearly defined financial management guidelines

· Discretion around work routines in the area

Work complexity / Problem solving: Receipts and payments, bank reconciliation, accounting entries and records.

Representation: Interacts with staff at all levels in the course of duties

Work experience: 2 years relevant experience required

Physical work environment: Office environment
