Ministry of Health Recruitment Statement

PRESS STATEMENT

RE-ADVERTISING OF POSITIONS OF HEALTH PERSONNEL UNDER PHASE II RECRUITMENT EXERCISE: MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Following concerns from stakeholders regarding the recruitment of Health Personnel under the Phase II recruitment exercise, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to re-advertise all the positions that were earlier advertised in the month of July, 2016.

  1. The Commission will this time directly receive applications, centrally process and issue appointment letters to the recruited candidates through the Public Service Management Division (PSMD).  The list of successful applicants shall be published on the Commission’s website once the exercise is complete.
  2. Applicants should directly lodge their applications with the Commission as Human Resource Officers in the Provincial Medical Offices shall not be responsible for receiving any such applications.
  3. Furthermore, Members of the Public are advised to report unscrupulous individuals who may be soliciting for bribes from prospective applicants to the relevant investigative wings or the Commission.  Members of the Public may wish to note that the recruitment guidelines and policies for the Public Service do not allow individuals to pay any fees in order for their applications to be considered.
  4. The Commission remains committed to its mission of ensuring competitiveness, integrity, equity and professionalism in the conduct of appointments in the Public Service in order to enhance delivery of quality service.
