MOROCCAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Zambian nationals that meet the minimum requirements outlined here below to contest for Seventy (70) scholarships under the Moroccan Government Scholarship Scheme for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Available are undergraduate scholarships in the following fields of study:

Medical Studies, Veterinary Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Commercial and Management Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Technical Sciences, and Architecture.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants should:

  • Be Zambian citizens with Green National Registration Cards (NRC);
  • Be School Leavers who completed Grade 12 in 2018;
  • Have Grades 1-3 in English, Mathematics and subjects relevant to the intended field of study;
  • Have Grades 1-2 in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology if applying for Medical studies and Engineering and Technical Sciences;
  • Be of minimum age 19 years by September 2019.

CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

Candidates should meet own cost towards:

  1. Expenses to and from the Airport;
  2. Any short fall not adequately covered by the scholarship.

DURATION

This is dependent on the programme to be pursued, however, all programmes include one (1) year of French language (5 to 7 years for Undergraduates).

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants should submit:

  • A typed application letter responding to the advert, clearly stating the field of study desired, age and mobile phone number for easy communication;
  • Curriculum Vitae, Certified Photocopies of Educational Certificates, Transcript/Statement of Results (certified by ECZ), NRC, applicant’s birth certificate, two (2) colour passport size photos and colour photocopy of pages 2 and 3 of applicant’s passport;
  • A typed study plan or synopsis of summarized details of the preferred course and how the intended course of study will enhance one’s contribution to Zambia’s development (200 words)

It is a requirement by the host country that all nominated candidates undergo comprehensive medical examinations including the HIV and Hepatitis B tests.

Nominated candidates must note that last-minute withdrawals will attract serious sanctions from HELSB which may include being blacklisted.

  1. There are alot of qualified people but only few will manage to apply. I would like if government can do something to help even those who cannot get things like pass ports in a short time because some people really need assistance. Thank you

  2. The issue of age is really something nowadays. I get surprised cause age should not be a limiting factor or whatsoever. Henceforth, such scholarship must be open to all

    • Let all those who qualify apply, many who completed two, three years ago are not in college due to inability to pay fees etc. So such scholarship should be open to all.

  3. we are living in a modern world let`s stop issues of applying via hand written and delivery, why cant we adopt online application?
