JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
Location: Lusaka & Masuku (On-Site)

About the Role
Tawansanthong Mining Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and provide accurate financial insights to support management decision-making. This is a hybrid position, primarily based in Lusaka, with periodic travel to Masuku for on-site financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Zambian accounting standards.
· Manage accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
· Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, ZRA) are accurately submitted.
· Assist in annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
· Ensure compliance with ZRA, PACRA, and other statutory obligations.
· Implement and monitor internal financial controls and systems.
· Conduct cost analysis and project accounting for operations, particularly in Masuku.
· Provide financial reports and recommendations to management.
· Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
· Professional Qualification: ACCA, CA (Zambia), or CIMA full membership (required).
· Experience: 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or financial management.
· Solid understanding of Zambian tax laws, IFRS, and statutory compliance.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Pastel).
· Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Willingness to travel between Lusaka and Masuku as required.
