THE ORGANISATION

The Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) is a statutory body under an Act of Parliament No.15. NIPA now seeks the services of highly motivated individuals to its team of skilled professionals.

Applications are now invited for the following position:

Carpenter x1

Reports to: Maintenance Superintendent

Role purpose:

Responsible for minor constructions, repair works, and maintenance work in all Institute buildings and structures in accordance with prescibed policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Diploma/Craft Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Three years minimum post qualifying work experience
  • Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
  • Task scheduling
  • Reports urgent/faulty works
  • Knowledge of safety protocols including First Aid and CPR
  • Knowledge of work tools
  • Ability to operate carpentry equipment
  • Ability to read building specifications and related documents
  • Oral communication
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Honest
  • Should have work ethics
  • Good public relations
