Examinations Council of Zambia
The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) was established by an Act of Parliament No. 15 of 1983, Chapter 137 of the Laws of the Republic of Zambia to set and conduct Examinations and award Certificates and diplomas to successful candidates. The vision of the Council is to be an examining body of excellence.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced applicants to fill the following
vacant position in the Administration Department, under the Certification Unit.
EXAMINATIONS OFFICER (1) GRADE ECZ4 – KITWE SERVICE CENTRE
Reporting to the Senior Records Officer, the Examinations Officer will assist in handling examination queries at Kitwe Service Centre in order to have a “one stop shop” in servicing the
public.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify/certify Grade 7, 9 12 and Teacher Training certificates and Statement of results
- Attend to clients inquiries pertaining to certification of results
- Attend to issues relating to foreign qualifications
- Verify details on lost or damaged certificate/statement of results
- Prepare monthly reports
- Ensure that clients are attended to efficiently and diligently
- Supervise the Assistant Examination Officer at the Service Centre to ensure that work is done
professionally and efficiently
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- School Certificate or its equivalent
- Diploma in Education
- Valid Practicing Licence from Teaching Council of Zambia
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
