We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:
PROCUREMENT MANAGER
CONTRACT: PERMANENT
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
- Set and manage procurement budget
- Preparation of requests for quotations and invitations to tender
- Identifying of suitable supplier and conducting supplier appraisal
- Placement and expediting of purchase orders
- Manage the importation and local procurement of all raw materials
- Monitoring of supplier performance
- Provide input on commodity logistics
- Ensuring that physical stock counts are done timeously
- Negotiation of key material pricing
- Developing specifications for materials and services
This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate with six credits or better
- Supply chain, stock procurement, undergraduate degree or any other relevant professional qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivated and results oriented
- Has professional integrity and possess sound business acumen.
