An established Poultry Farm is looking for a Sales Manager Breeder Farm to oversee the sales and marketing of day-old broiler chicks, day old layer chicks and animal feed
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting To: General Manager
Supervision Of: Sales Executives & Marketing Officers
Interacts With: Management; Employees; Customers; Competitors
JOB DESCRIPTION
Development of both Sales & Marketing Staff through the means of a Competency Development Plan which will encompass training plans, coaching and mentoring the staff in order to fall in line with the overall Companies execution of a Sales & Marketing strategy that will promote business sustainability.
Sales and marketing of day-old broiler chicks, day old layer chicks and animal feed.
Manage & maintain relationships with Key customers
Monthly monitoring of unit sales Gross Profit margins as well as departmental costs so that they are in line with the companies budgets
Supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of units in country to ensure improved service delivery to our customers.
Effectively manage and guide the sales team in identifying potential customers and market segments through on-going prospecting and customer follow ups for improved business performance and market share growth.
Implement standardized sales processes and tools that support the effective performance of the department and organization at large
Responsible for country wide Sales Support to the various branches by means of bimonthly branch visits to enhance Sales Development and customers support visits
Manage sales team of tele sales and technical assistants.
Manage depots and grow depot footprint
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 5 years
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications; First Degree in Business related discipline. MBA will be an added advantage
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: The poultry farming business landscape
Skills To: Sales & marketing skills; Good negotiation skills; Excellent communications and presentation skills
Ability To: Lead and grow a team
Other Requirements: At least three years’ experience in selling agriculture Products
