About Us

ChildFund Zambia is an international child protection and development agency supporting locally led initiatives that help families and communities address the root causes of child poverty and protect children’s rights. It directly supports over 30,000 children and benefits more than 810,000 people in over 32 communities across four provinces (Lusaka, Central, Southern, and Eastern).

Its work focuses on key programme areas namely Child Protection, Household Economic Strengthening, Early Childhood Development, Education, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Food Security, Emergency Response, Health and Nutrition, Climate Change and Resilience Building. Guided by its mission to empower communities and children as agents of their own development, ChildFund Zambia operates through six partner community-based organizations known as Federations of Community Associations or Child Development Agencies.
