Job Title: Accounts Clerk

Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Clerk to join our finance team, with a strong focus on invoicing, customer account management, and debt collection. This role is vital in ensuring accurate billing, timely receipt of payments, and maintaining healthy cash flow within our logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in accounts receivable and basic accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Invoicing:

o Generate and ensuring accurate billing information in both Logistics Web and SAGE Evolution.

o Ensure all required supporting documents are attached and meet client requirements.

o Ensure all draft Invoices are processed into final Invoices and sent for approval.

· Accounts Receivable:

o Monitor customer accounts to track outstanding balances.

o Reconcile customer payments, identify discrepancies, and follow up on unallocated receipts.

o Ensure all the extra charges are recharged to the client(s) on time.

· Customer Account Management:

o Update and maintain customer account information in the accounting system.

o Respond to customer queries regarding invoices, statements, and account balances.

o Assist in reviewing/verifying all KYC documents before adding the client in the accounting system.

· Reporting:.

o Assist in month-end closing by providing accounts receivable data and reconciliations.

· General Accounting Support:

o Assist with filing, record-keeping, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed.

o Support other finance team members during audits or peak periods.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· 1-2 years of experience in an accounts receivable or invoicing role (preferably in logistics or a service-based industry)

· Working knowledge of SAGE Evolution

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
