Functions & Responsibilities

● Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

● Prepare monthly revenue recognition reports.

● Vendor Management (Accounts payable). Facilitate compliance with company payment terms and resolutions of issues/disputes with vendors.

● Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.

● Work with respective teams to ensure the best possible costs (competitive) of running the operations of the organization, i.e cost management & control. Timely operations float reconciliation.

● The Accountant will also be responsible to assist in processing staff payroll.

● Ensure constant auditing and maintaining internal controls set by company management.

● Responsible for Month-end close processes, account analysis, review of account reconciliations.

● Collaborate with Finance Director to prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecast and estimates. Preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

● Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.

● Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

● Responsible for enforcing company credit policy and ensuring collections are made accordingly.

● Any other duties as assigned.

Professional Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy & Finance
Advanced Studies in ACCA, CIMA or ZICA
MBA in Finance/ MBA General will be added Advantage
5 Years+ experience in the same field
Valid ZICA Practicing License
