To provide accurate and effective translation and interpretation between Chinese and English, and where required, local languages, to facilitate clear communication between Chinese-speaking and English-speaking employees, management, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Translation

Translate documents, letters, reports, contracts, policies, notices, emails, and other business materials between Chinese and English.
Ensure translated documents accurately reflect the original meaning, tone, terminology, and context.
Review and proofread translated documents for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and consistency.

Interpretation

Provide consecutive interpretation during meetings, training sessions, interviews, negotiations, site visits, and other business activities.
Facilitate communication between Chinese-speaking management and English-speaking/local employees.
Translate instructions and explanations accurately and promptly

Meetings and Operations

Attend meetings and assist with real-time interpretation where required.
Translate operational instructions, safety information, procedures, and training materials.
Assist supervisors and managers in communicating instructions to employees.

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or degree in Chinese, English, Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field is an advantage.
Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience as a translator or interpreter is an advantage.
Ability to translate accurately while maintaining the meaning and context of the original communication.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
