The Gardener will be responsible for planting, cultivating, and caring for various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees. This position requires a passion for horticulture, physical stamina, and attention to detail to ensure that the grounds are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.

Detailed Job Specifications

Maintain the overall appearance of the grounds, including weeding, mowing, pruning and trimming plants and trees.
Ensure that lawns, garden beds, and other landscapes are neat and well-kept.
Ensure pathways, gardens, and other outdoor areas are free of debris, trash and hazards.
Maintain garden tools and equipment in good working condition.
Collect and dispose of garden waste, such as leaves, branches, and other organic materials, in an environmentally responsible manner.
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while using gardening tools and equipment.
Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 School Certificate
Minimum two years related experience

Required knowledge, skills and abilities

Ability to operate gardening equipment such as lawnmowers and trimmers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for working outdoors.
Self-motivated and honest person.
