A reputable audit firm invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to join its Audit and Assurance Department as Audit Trainees.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and carrying out audit assignments.
Perform audit procedures in accordance with approved audit programmes.
Prepare accurate and complete audit working papers.
Test transactions, account balances and internal controls.
Identify and report audit exceptions and control weaknesses.
Assist with financial statement reviews and other audit deliverables.
Maintain professional communication with clients.
Complete assignments and timesheets within the required timelines.
Comply with the firm’s quality, independence, ethics and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent, with strong results in Mathematics and English.
Pursuing ACCA, ZICA/CA Zambia or another recognised professional accountancy qualification will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Previous audit or accounting experience will be an added advantage but is not essential.
