JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Clerk with active membership in the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient day-to-day financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
Process accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in budget management.
Ensure compliance with ZICA standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation.
Collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory: Active membership with ZICA.
Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
