Zambia Council For Social Development (ZCSD)

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) is a national umbrella body for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Zambia, established in 1974 and registered under the Registrar of Societies. ZCSD works to strengthen and coordinate civil society through capacity building, policy advocacy, research, networking, and stakeholder engagement. The organisation promotes good governance, accountability, citizen participation, social justice, and sustainable socio-economic development. ZCSD serves as a platform for NGOs, Community-Based Organisations (CBOs), Faith-Based Organisations (FBOs), development partners, and government institutions to collaborate in advancing inclusive development and improving the lives of vulnerable communities across Zambia.
