Position reports to: Sr. Supervisor, Specialist, Condition Monitoring & NDT

Direct reports: Supervisor Mechanical
Purpose
To fabricate plant equipment such as chutes, structures and pipes according to drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
- Knowledge of pipe construction and development is essential
- Fabricate from complex drawings and mark off basic regular engineering shapes
- Cut, drill and punch, assemble and mechanically join structural steelwork
- Assemble and mechanically join sheets, plates, tubes, pipes and steel sections
- Operate overhead cranes, lift and move material and equipment by means of a forklift
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12)
- Craft Certificate from recognised institution
- Must have an EIZ certificate
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Boilermaker in a Plant environment
