Position Title: Sales Executive
Position Type: Permanent Contract
Location: Lusaka
Reports to: General Manager –Commercial

Sales Executive Job description

Direct and oversee organisations sales policies, objectives and initiatives. Set short-and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Business Operations Performance;
  • Identify new business opportunities by tapping the potential customers from different countries budget;
  • To plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching the customer’s needs and requirements;
  • Regular visit and follow-up customers;
  • Responding overseas and local customer queries;
  • Sending quotes to customers;
  • To ensure existing clients are retained and maintained while developing the new customers
  • Attend the meetings with other companies to negotiate, so that they assist in the overall growth and development of the business organisation;
  • Provide timely clearance and delivery;
  • Provide quotes to customer timely and follow-up;
  • Build relationships with transporters;
  • Negotiating the sale terms and meeting sales targets as per FIELD SALES COMMISSION STRUCTURE
  • Studying the market in the target country or countries
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Service Delivery
  • Think outside the box- develop new models and frameworks;
  • Formulate new concepts for the organisation, not constrained by what already exist
  • Develop, implement and maintain consistent and best practice service delivery standards, policies and procedures;
  • Continually improve service delivery systems, processes and offerings;
  • Set service standards to ensure that quality outcomes delivered;
  • Use extensive experience and sound judgement to manage multiple tasks;

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 and/or Advanced Diploma in Sales and Marketing;
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in clearing and forwarding industry
  • IT Skills;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and eager to work in a fast-paced multicultural organization;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Through understanding marketing and negotiating technique;
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach;
  • Presentation Skills and Client Relationships;
  • Creativity, Sales Planning and Energy Level;
  • Travelling will be required from time to time;
  • Extended working hours will be required from time to time;
  • Must be available on mobile after hours;
