Job description:

Overall Job Purpose

The purpose of the Reliability Engineer is to identify equipment reliability risks using analytics and analysis tools to recommend and/or lead the risk elimination and mitigation measures

Specific Job Responsibility

The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;

Collaborate with maintenance execution and supporting departments to develop and/or implement equipment reliability improvements
Analyze data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Fleet Management System (FMS), and Health Monitoring System (HMS) to recommend and implement cost-reduction solutions and maintenance improvement
Develop and maintain data summarization and reporting tools
Carry out root cause of failure analysis on repeated and/or high-impact equipment failures to eliminate and/or minimize the occurrence
Monitor work management, availability, maintainability and reliability KPIs
Review and revise maintenance strategies based on failure analysis and cost optimization
Develop, review and revise asset management workflows and processes
Maintain condition monitoring software and hardware to ensure effective condition-based maintenance
Review condition monitoring reports and ensure corrective actions are communicated to the executing teams
Research and deploy new technologies to improve equipment reliability and/or reduce asset maintenance costs
Collaborate with the OEMs to drive continuous improvement activities
Develop and support personnel in the usage of reliability-based methodology, bad actor identification and maintenance KPI monitoring.
Review equipment preventive maintenance service inspection sheets to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of PM service execution
Develop and support condition monitoring analysts carrying out predictive maintenance tasks
Audit workspace and equipment contamination control to prevent premature failure of components
Coach maintenance personnel on good reliability practices

Experience & Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in the mining/mineral or processing industry.
At least 2 years of experience with maintenance and reliability systems (ERP or CMMS, monitoring systems, Mine Care, Dispatch and/or databases in general).
A Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic engineers
Certification ARP or CMRP CRE
Valid driver’s license
