To drive sales strategies for corporate clients to ensure that the business meets the set targets for growth in terms of profitability, turnover and client base

experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualification – Degree in Marketing or Finance and ACI Dealing Certificate
Experience – Minimum 5 years banking experience of which 3 years must be in a corporate environment

additional requirements

An excellent working knowledge of treasury products i.e Spot foreign exchange and Forward foreign exchange
Derivatives (Not a pre requisite)
Interest rate dynamics and interest rate products and other intermediate products
A good understanding of macro-economics and current economic trends and their effects on the business
A good appreciation and knowledge of Risk Management, covering Operational Risk, Market Risk, Counterparty Risk and Credit Risk within a banking environment
Where applicable, understanding the basics of Exchange Controls
Strong networks within the corporate / commercial / government sectors
Experience in high-level relationship building and maintenance
Computer literacy – with good spreadsheet, (Microsoft Office) Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
Market ethics according to the ACI code of Conduct
Understand the principles and practice of foreign exchange operations.
Marketing techniques i.e. how to win the confidence of the client.


Maintain close contact with all internal stakeholders and leverage off their support
Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards
Identify and utilise opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets
Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
Provide appropriate banking solutions across the business to prospective clients
Compile Market research to identify opportunities within the market
Develop a strategy to expand our customer base with creditworthy and potentially profitable customers
