Mission

We are currently seeking Auto ! High Voltage Electrical Technicians and Hydraulic Technicians to fill vacant positions for our service contract for ADS blasthole drill rigs equipment at Lumwana Mine in North Western Province of Zambia. The person’s will be expected to maintain and repair equipment on site that will deliver maximum equipment availability and other agreed KPls while ensuring the highest safety level is maintained at all times. The overall intention is to deliver the maximum value to the customer in terms of supporting them achieve their production targets at minimum cost while delivering sustainable healthy business for Epiroc Zambia.

Hydraulic Technicians (4 positions)

  • To carry out rebuild and testing of Hydraulic components.
  • To fault find and repair hydraulic components to Epiroc Standards.
  • To set up and installation of automatic grease systems.
  • Ability to set up system pressures and operate a Test bench.
  • To ensure that all tools, workshop facility and equipment are used correctly and kept in good working condition.
  • Ensure good housekeeping at workplace.
  • To report on incident/accidents damages.
  • Work shift rosters as required.
  • To perform other related work as assigned.
  • To be available 24/7.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Certificate in Hydraulics systems or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on similar position.
  • Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (E.I.Z).
  • Must have Hydraulic Greasing Systems knowledge.
  • Experience working on a Hydraulic test bench system.
  • Problem solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

The positions to be based at Lumwana Mine in Solwezi

North Western Province, Zambia.
