About One Acre Fund

One Acre Fund works to make African smallholder farmers more prosperous. We supply everything farmers need to grow more food and earn more income. We deliver quality farm supplies on credit, deep in rural areas, and trainings to improve farmers’ harvests. We currently serve 600,000 clients in six countries across Eastern and Southern Africa, and we aim to reach 1 million farm families by 2020.

One Acre Fund started in Zambia in 2015. In 2018, our team of 170 served 11,600 farmers in Central Province. Our headquarters is located in Kabwe.

Job Description

We are looking for hard-working professionals that want to be part of our mission. Applicants should have impeccable integrity and a drive for our work. We are seeking 9 Data Entry Officers to work with us for a Period of 4 weeks.

Responsibilities include:

Data entry of farmers’ information into Database and Excel templates.
Perform data entry of farmer information twice to ensure data accuracy.
Scanning and filing of farmer contracts.
Receiving and verifying repayments from our Field Officers,
Initial and quality control data entry on a weekly basis.
Other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Grade 12 certificate, diploma in a related field preferred.
Excellent English skills, complete fluency in at least Nyanja, Bemba or Tonga.
At least one year of professional data entry experience.
Previous office experience, including administrative work.
Typing speed of at least 30 wpm required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills preferred.
Exceedingly well-organized, with a can-do attitude.
Team players who are hardworking and passionate about helping farmers.

Compensation

Base salary: K1,600
House and lunch allowance: K660
Health expense coverage.
