Senior Workshop Foreman

Senior Workshop Foreman 1 Position -Lusaka

Main Responsibilities

• Vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and fitness approved
• Supervision of routine vehicle inspections and subsequent repairs
• Planning vehicle service schedules for all vehicles and equipment
• Involvement in the  procurement and ordering of spare parts, tools and all necessary wares for vehicle maintenance to ensure quality of spares procured
• Attending to vehicles breakdown during and after working hours, in and out of normal workstation
• Supervision of delegated tasks to all technicians in the workshop
• Periodic performance reviews of subordinates
• Production of quality workshop reports
• Maintaining and coordinating health and safety programs, including inspections and compliance activities
• Ensuring good housekeeping in the workshop

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Must be a member of Engineering Institution of Zambia
• Diploma in Automotive Mechanics/Electronics or equivalent
• At least five years post-qualification experience
• At least two years in a supervisory/managerial role
• Knowledge of Volvo fleet mechanical and electronic systems is an added advantage
