A faith based Organisation based in Mbala District
Livestock Officer will be based in Mbala but from time to time will be required to work from Kasama and Mungwi districts
Livestock Officer will be responsible for running the Livestock section of the Organisation. He/she will be responsible for managing and ensuring that the section remains viable and profitable and generate enough income to support the section and also the Orphans and Vulnerable Children that the Organisation supports in terms of education and nutrition support. As a supervisor of the Livestock section his/her main duties will include though not limited to;
1. Manage and supervise the operations of the piggery units in Mbala, Kasama and Mungwi districts
2. Manage and supervise the operations of the poultry section which includes both broilers and improved local chickens
3. Manage and supervise the operations of the goat rearing units in Mungwi districts
4. He/she be responsible for supervising all staff under the livestock section and ensure they are working within the provisions of the law.
5. Responsible for making feed for all animals under the section and develop business plans for each section
6. He/she will be responsible for vaccinating animals against diseases and ensure all animals are health as per relevant standards
