Electrician – Fueling Systems

Uno Petroleum Limited seeks to recruit the services of a qualified Electrician to join the team. The candidate will be in charge of electrical maintenance works on the Company’s fuelling systems. The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and wire electrical components including but not limited to pumps, control panels, motors, building wiring, air compressors, generators, lights and other equipment.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Perform root cause analysis and fault finding in motors and other electrical equipment.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to other departments as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to electrical systems and components including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Proactively participate in identification of projects that demonstrate working in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Work with other LMC Department teams/Contractors as and when required.
  • Achievement of maintenance compliance targets in the most cost-effective manner
  • Carryout planned and unplanned work as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure personal and team compliance with statutory acts and other applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum of diploma in electrical engineering or its equivalent.
  • Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia
  • Well-versed with electrical repair and installation for low voltage and medium voltage electrical work with a basic understanding of Transformer substation connections.
  • Hands-on experience with the testing of electrical equipment and connections i.e. motors, compressors, earthing etc.
  • Valid Zambian Driving license and be willing and able to travel to multiple locations around Zambia for beak down and preventive maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrician.
