Zambia Land Alliance
1. Introduction
Zambia Land Alliance (ZLA) is a network of non-governmental organizations promoting fair land policies, laws and land administration which takes into account the needs of the poor in rural and urban communities. The ZLA Solwezi Project office is currently seeking to engage a reputable audit firm to conduct a project audit from July 2019 to June 2020.
2. Purpose
The purpose of the audits is to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements reflect a true and fair view of the financial position of ZLA Solwezi project. The audits will be performed in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards of Auditing (ISA). The audit reports will include an independent Auditor’s opinion on the financial statements.
3. Scope of work
The successful Audit firm will be responsible to audit the first year of the project being funded by Action Aid and being implemented by ZLA-Solwezi office. The Auditor should assess the Alliance’s compliance with donor agreement as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
4. Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Audit firms should meet the following criteria:
i. Compliance with legal requirements of registration
ii. Three references from similar audits performed within the last three (3) years
iii. Financial proposal for the audit services
iv. Technical proposal and work plan
v. Curriculum Vitae for the firm’s key audit team
5. Deliverables
i. Audited financial statements stating whether the accounting standards have been complied with, and whether they portray the correct financial position of ZLA Solwezi project Office
ii. Management letter where matters that may not be material to the financial statements, but which the auditors may wish to communicate to ZLA may be documented for management action.
