Zambian Youth Platform
The Zambian Youth Platform (ZYP) whose vision seeks to see a “Zambia where young people are empowered and fully participate in social, economic and political development” was established in the year 2015 as a nonpartisan platform for youth leaders, youths and youth workers. It is a mechanism for mobilization of youths, youth leaders and youth workers and their organizations to:
- Take action on critical issues affecting the youth through coordinated youth voices
- Holding government and its key partners to accountable on youth priority and commitments.
- Protect the interest of youths in all aspects through effective and coordinated representation.
- Promote and support youth participation in decision making.
The suitable candidate shall fulfill the following job roles:
- Support ZYP staff and partners to set up and maintain appropriate and robust M&E systems for all programme activities,
- Support monitoring and evaluation processes using ZYP developed tools and provide guidance to staff and partners in their use,
- Routinely perform quality control checks of monitoring and evaluation work, overseeing that planned monitoring and evaluation activities are
taking place, - Design, carry out and/or supervise consultants conducting evaluations across all programme areas,
- Track planned evaluations and ensure that evaluation reports are obtained and shared to facilitate learning,
- Help promote sharing of lessons learned from programme monitoring and evaluation to improve future programme selection, design and implementation,
- Take part in monitoring and evaluation networks with other NGOs, GIZ, UN and other external partners, as well as with international M&E focal points, partners and beneficiaries to coordinate field monitoring and evaluation activities, stay current on best monitoring and evaluation practice and to
support quality programming and accountability standards

Job requirements/qualifications:
- Grade 12 Certificate,
- Minimum of a Diploma in Social Sciences, M&E; International development or related disciplines,
- Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation activities for fast-moving programs in complex environments, experience working in ‘emergency/hardship areas’ is an asset,
- Good knowledge and understanding of key aspects of development work
- Experience in programme reporting
- Practical experience with databases and statistics
- At least two years relevant and progressive professional experience in M&E.
- Not below the age of 25 years
