Zambia Sugar Plc. is an ABF Sugar Company and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.
The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position in the Human Resource Department:
HR ADMINISTRATION CLERK x 3 – SHORT TERM
This position will be reporting to the Human Resource Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the recruitment of Seasonal and Temporal employees.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with shortlisted candidates
- Assist in processing background checks and verifying employment documents
- Schedule safety inductions for new hires
- Maintain employees’ records and update HR databases
- Collect and verify new hire documents (e.g NRC, Bank information, police clearance certificates etc.)
- Assist preparing of onboarding documents materials for new hires
- Process employee exit paperwork for smooth offboarding of employees
- Prepare certificates of service for ex-employees
- Sorting and filing of employee documents on personal files to ensure compliance with legal requirements /HR minimum standards.
- Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies and benefits
- Assist with audits by preparing necessary documents (recruitment files)
- Help maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information
- Update internal HR systems with changes (e.g promotions, transfers)
- Support the HR team with miscellaneous tasks and projects.
- Promote and adhere to ABF’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
Qualifications and Experience
- Full grade 12 Certificate.
- Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Preferably 1 year relevant experience.
- Must be computer literate with high proficiency in excel.
- Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates verified by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
