Clinical instructor
Journalism Lecturer
Successful candidates will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, curriculum development, research, and student mentorship.
- Clinical Insructor- School of Health Sciences
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support medical students during clinical rotations and hospital placements.
Demonstrate clinical procedures and guide students in both real and simulated healthcare environments.
Participate in curriculum delivery, lesson planning, and student assessments.
Provide mentorship, academic support, and professional development guidance to students.
Collaborate with clinical and academic staff to maintain high standards of clinical education.
Promote adherence to ethical and professional standards in clinical training.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma in Clinical Medical Sciences General (or equivalent recognized qualification).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice and teaching.
Teaching methodology training or experience working with medical students/clinical education is an added advantage.
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to student development and healthcare education.
- JOURNALISM LECTURER
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lectures and tutorials in journalism and media-related courses, both theoretical and practical.
Supervise student projects, internships, and research in journalism, media studies, and communication.
Develop and review course materials in line with current industry trends and academic standards.
Engage in academic research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Foster critical thinking, media ethics, and professional writing skills among students.
Participate in departmental planning, curriculum development, and quality assurance activities.
Mentor and advise students on academic and career progression.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
At least 3 years of teaching or industry experience in journalism, broadcasting, or media production.
Practical knowledge of media production tools (e.g., video editing, radio production, digital publishing).
Familiarity with emerging trends in digital journalism and multimedia storytelling.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and student success.
