Role Overview:
Dalesman Farms Ltd seeks a capable, motivated graduate to provide assistance to the Managing Director in research and operational functions. The MD’s work spans commercial agriculture, sustainability, and education, and the role will involve responsibilities across all these areas.
This is a hybrid role combining document preparation, research support, logistical organisation, and administrative oversight. It would suit someone seeking meaningful, long-term work in a principled, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct online research and summarise findings clearly
- Assist with writing commercial, research, and educational documents
- Manage scheduling, task tracking, and correspondence
- Format reports and maintain digital records
- Assist with organisational admin (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll support, HR documentation)
- Support logistical planning for projects and occasional travel
Essential Skills:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs
- Strong personal organisation and attention to detail
- Integrity, discretion, and a sense of responsibility
- Willingness to live and work in a rural setting
Preferred Profile:
- Recent graduate in a relevant field such as Education, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Business, or another discipline requiring clear communication, critical thinking, and organisational skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Christian values and sympathy with the Reformed theological tradition is an advantage
