Job Title: Sales Assistant

Location: Print-Point Stationers & General Dealers, Kasama

Reports to: Shop Manager

Job Purpose

To support the daily operations of the shop by providing excellent customer service, managing sales, maintaining an organised store environment, and ensuring efficient stock handling with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Officer typing, printing, photocopying, laminating, binding, designing services to customers.
Provide accurate product information and guide customers in selecting stationery, office supplies, school requirements and general items.
Process sales transactions, issue receipts, and handle cash correctly.
Maintain a clean, neat and well-organised sales area and display shelves.
Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items to the Supervisor.
Assist in receiving, unpacking and arranging new stock on shelves.
Ensure product prices are correctly displayed and updated.
Keep records of daily sales and support basic inventory management.
Handle customer complaints or queries politely and refer complex issues to the Supervisor.
Perform any other duties assigned to support smooth shop operations.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 Certificate with passes in English and Mathematics.
Tertiary qualification in computer related course will be an added advantage.
Experience in sales, customer service or retail (added advantage).

Key Skills & Personal Attributes

Strong customer relations and communication skills.
Honest, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer (MicrosoftOffice package) is an added advantage.
