Position Summary:
The Fundraising Officer will play a critical role in generating financial support for our organization through strategic fundraising initiatives. S/he will be responsible for seeking out and pitching for various fundraising opportunities, organizing events, developing donor relationships, and creating compelling promotional materials to raise awareness of our mission and financial needs. The ideal candidate must have experience in fundraising and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing effective fundraising strategies and plans
- Organizing and executing various fundraising events and campaigns
- Identifying potential donors and building effective relationships with them
- Writing, submitting and tracking grant proposals
- Monitoring and evaluating fundraising activities for effectiveness
- Managing budgets and financial reporting related to fundraising activities
- Maintaining donor records and databases
- Creating marketing materials and strategies to promote fundraising initiatives
- Working with volunteers and organizing volunteer events for fundraising purposes
- Complying with legal regulations and ethical practices in all fundraising activities
- Communicating with the public, the media, and other interested parties to gain wider exposure for the organization
- Uphold and promote the highest standards of child safeguarding in all activities, in line with our Child Protection Policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate with a Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics or the equivalent.
· Not less than five (5) years' experience in business development, fund-raising and proposal development. Exposure and familiarity with multi-donor and key stakeholder relations and engagements with public and private corporate and any international funding agencies is a mandatory requirement.
- Experience within an NGO or donor-funded environment is a strong advantage.

- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive team player with the capacity to build effective partnerships.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver quality work within strict deadlines.
· Be of high moral standing and personal integrity
· Willingness to travel out of station as required.
